At Gathering Industries, we are more than a kitchen — we are a community of second chances. As an Atlanta-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our purpose is to walk alongside people who area in a transitionary period and help them build a new path forward.

We know that someone’s past doesn’t define a person’s future. Every individual has skills, potential, and dreams worth fighting for. What many lack is access: access to training, employment, and a supportive network that believes in their ability to succeed. That’s where we come in.

Through our kitchen training program, we provide hands-on instruction in a professional kitchen where trainees gain both technical cooking skills and the life skills necessary to thrive in the workplace. From knife skills to time management; from preparing meals to preparing résumés, our kitchen becomes a classroom for dignity and hope.

But we don’t stop at training. We partner with Atlanta restaurants, catering companies, and local businesses to connect graduates to meaningful employment opportunities. We believe that a job is the most powerful way to break the cycle  — and by equipping people with real-world skills, we help turn that belief into reality.

Our model is powered by compassion and sustained by community support. Every donation and every lunchbox ordered through Gathering Industries fuels this cycle of transformation. Together, we are helping individuals rebuild their lives, supporting families, and strengthening Atlanta one plate at a time.
